Cleveland

As you saw earlier in the blog - Katie, Joel and Grant went to Florida with Grandma Jane and Grandpa John as Mitch and stayed back and froze in MN.  Thus, we decided it would be fund to head to Cleveland for a weekend.  Ya, I know, Cleveland.  I was a basic nerd trip.  We spent two days at the National Sports Card Collectors Convention, hit the Pro FB Hall of Fame in Canton, caught a Cleveland Indians game highlighted by the unveiling of a statue in center field for Jim Thome and huge fireworks show celebrating the retirement of his number.  The last day we spent at the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.  Overall we had a great trip until we missed our connecting flight on the way in Chicago, had to book a new flight and race through 5 concourses at O'Hare airport to prevent being stranded in Chicago.  We looked like OJ in those old Hertz rental car commercials as we ran through the airport dodging senror citizens and leaping over baby strollers.
Mitch and his 1st day haul and Dad and his nerd finds - a 1977 KISS set and 1966 Batman set.
