Grad Party

Mitch and his brothers and sisters.  Joel and grant ready to head out to a ball game.  Emma and Anna all dressed up for the party.

Great that Mitch's entire family from WI could make it.  We have always had a great relationship with Ebony and her family.  It was a little sad when the party was over as we all realized that after 18 years we wouldn't see that much of each other anymore.  We look forward to seeing everyone again at the wedding!

Great weather for a grad party!  Plenty of friends and family spent the day at our house to celebrate Mitch's high school career.  Food catered by Bluestone Grill.  This was not Mitchell's favorite but he didn't have a choice.  If it was up to him we would have served DQ chicken strip baskets.  The day before and the morning of the party Jay, Ebony and girls helped us get set-up.  Overall, everything went according to plan until about 4 AM the next morning.  We went to bed that night w/o taking down the tent.  Weather was calm and no storms in sight.  Well about 4 am a small storm blew through the neighborhood with rain and strong winds.  Katie and I went out and battled the tent.  Somehow we managed to get it down w/o it blowing down the street through someone's living room window or w/o Katie (who was hanging onto the tent while i untied it) flying away with her own makeshift para- sail.  All the while Mitch slept peacefully upstairs in his bedroom.  In our panic we completely forgot to wake him up to help us.
