Spotlight

BHS production of Children of Eden was was awarded the Spotlight outstanding production award.  As a result they (and other metro schools) were able to perform a medley of their songs from the show at the Historic State Theatre in Minneapolis. It was fun night for everyone involved. 

Rocky

Rocky was our new pet Guinea Pig.  Katie took the boys to the pet store to "look at" Guinea Pigs and what do you know - they came home with one.  I got the call at work and have to admit I wasn't jumping for joy.  Joel and Grant really took to the little guy - especially Grant.  Unfortunately Dad's previous warning came true and I was deathly allergic to Rocky.  I made it to October and something had to give - either I was going to suffocate from my allergies or Rocky had to go.  Grant was really upset and I felt terrible.  Fortunately Joel's 1-2 Grade teacher Mrs. Samuelson offered to adopt Rocky.  Grant is able to go to Mrs. Samuelson's house after school every few weeks to visit Rocky.  The situation was not ideal but we could not be happier that we were able to find a good home for Rocky.

Mitch Birthday

Mitch's 17th birthday featuring the final card to complete his Vikings card project This project (collecting every Topps Viking card from inception) was a good 7 years in the making.  The final card he needed was a Fran Tarkenton Rookie Card.
