Hibbing Visit

We had a great visit to Hibbing last weekend, visiting with the great grandparents. Mitch was in Washington DC with Grandpa and Grandma Benson, so he was not with us. (pics from his exciting trip to come later). The highlights were a visit to Uncle Dan and Aunt Kathy's cabin for swimming and nice visits to each of the grandparents homes, where I got to hear interesting stories from their pasts about their parents, their immigration from Croatia to the Iron Range and other interesting facts from the past. Jeff and I went home on Sunday and the boys got the stay the ENTIRE week in Hibbing. It was VERY quiet around here last week... talk about a nice way for me to prepare for Grandma's marathon (which was yesterday). I am looking forward to posting some pictures from my mom's camera showing some of their adventures in Hibbing last week. Those will be coming soon!

All the boys had a blast during our one-day trip to Atwater this weekend. The little guys are really at a fun age to appreciate everything at the farm. Feeding the animals, helping Gma let the horses out, running around in all the open space, searching for kitties in the barn, they love everything there. Since today was Mitch's birthday as well, we had cupcakes after lunch and Mitch opened his presents in Atwater. As you can see, he got some good stuff!

So Proud

That "G" was a tough one, but Grant finally got it figured out! He was very proud. We will just have to make sure we keep practicing this summer, so he still has it down in the fall. The reason he was trying on this day was because apparentely his preschool teacher told him he needed to work on learning to write his name:)

Look at this guy!

Finally! Mitchell has begun the LONG 2 year process of braces. His teeth were quite sore this week and he has probably had enough of pudding and yogurt, but the process has begun!!
