Joel Baseball

Joel had a 10U baseball season to remember.  His team won a number of tournaments and ended the season finishing 4th in the 32-Team Gopher State Tourney.  Joel was the ace of the staff.  His got his 1st 32 outs of the season via strike-out without giving up a hit.  He pitched in every big moment of of every big game of the year.  He beat Rogers in the championship of the Rogers tourney and beat them again by throwing 75 pitches in the Gopher State Tourney in Rogers to advance his team to the Final Four.  Joel not only dominated on the mound but he hit well as the plate as well.  Getting timely hits when the team needed them - especially in the two Rogers games previously mentioned.  The season didn't start out as optimistic.  Joel didn't make the AAA team and was disappointed.  In hindsight, this was the best thing that could happen to him.  It gave him the opportunity to be a leader of the team, Ace of the pitching staff and pitch in every big game.  It all paid off.  At the end of the summer, Joel was asked to play Fall Baseball with the AAA team.  Great season Joel!

1st place in the Rogers Tourney beating arch rival Rogers in the championship game.

Joel wearing the wrong jersey to his game.  Nice Joel!

4th place in 32-team Gopher State Tourney.  Joel used all of his 75 pitches to beat Rogers (again) to get them to the Final Four!
