Buffalo Carnival

Buffalo Days in Buffalo featured a small carnival.  Joel and Grant hit the mini roller coaster but the big hit was the Tornado.  They must of road it 20 times!  I could only make it 2-3 times - but i gave them a pretty wild ride when I did....maybe that's why i nearly hurled each time i went with kids.

First Twin's Game

Mitch and I took Joel and Grant to their 1st Twins game this summer.  We have a great time and made it through the entire game!

Biggest reason we made it through the entire game - Cotton Candy and other treats!

Chicago Trip

In August Mitch, Lincoln, Jon Dad and I took a weekend road trip to Milwaukee and Chicago to see a Brewers and Cubs game.

Our seats at Miller Park.  It should be noted that both Lincoln and Mitch were nearly decapitated by two separate foul balls because they weren't paying attention.  Lincoln did score some nice autographs from players prior to the game.

Giant Slip n Slide

The Giant Slip and Slide is always a big neighborhood event.  Usually once or twice a summer on the hottest days we set up a giant slide down the side of the house with hoses and sprinklers running all day.  Usually all sorts of friends stop by during the day to take a ride!  If I'm not sure what months we set it up all i have to do is look at the water bills for the summer and you can tell pretty quickly.  Great fun for kids (and parents)!

Neighborhood Friends

Joel and Grant are lucky to have a few of their best friends live on the same block as us.  This group can usually be found in our kitchen looking for snacks, running wild between the houses brandishing swords or on their bikes and scooters racing up and down the block.

Papa and Nana move to Maple Grove!

In August Grandma Jane and Grandpa John moved from Hibbing to Maple Grove.  They live in a development with a pool, tennis court and other fun actvities.  Joel and Grant are frequent swimmers in the pool.

Visit to Kia's Cabin

Katie, Joel and Grant went our friend Kia and Brandon's cabin up north for few days.  They hunted frogs, kayaked, and swam with their friend Kalen.
