I figure if there is ever anything that really needed to be documented on the blog, this is it... Grant is having a great 2nd year of preschool so far. He loves school, loves his friends at school, loves his teacher. Everything is great... well everything except the lack of homework that is:) Grant has been extremely envious of Joel's kindergarten homework... so much so that we have opted to ask for homework for Grant, which his teacher as more than happy to help out with, and Grant loves it. Here is is working in his very first homework. I also added a first day of preschool picture on the bottom, since I don't think I ever posted that!

Grandma Elsie's 90th Birthday
We had a great time in Duluth to celebrate Jeff's Grandma's 90th Birthday with the entire Benson family. We stayed at the Edgewater Waterpark and the boys LOVED it. Joel was tall enough to go down the biggest slides by himself and he did great. We were lucky enough that it was around 60 degrees in Canal Park on Sunday, so a beautiful day to hang out by the lake!
We recently enjoyed celebrating FORTY years of marriage for my mom and dad. What a milestone! My sister was able to join us for a nice brunch and of course it wouldn't have been a party without a delicious cake! :) Congratulation Mom and Dad, you have set us an excellent example of what to strive for in our own marriages!

First day of school 2012
Big day here yesterday!, first day of high school and first day of kindergarten!! Everyone did great yesterday, including Joel on his bus ride and bus transfers and FULL day of kindergarten. When he finally got home, he said "mom, school was even kinda fun". Of course, with Joel, details are hard to come by, he is not much of a talker, but we have heard what he has had for lunch both days and that his first grade buddies name is Michael and he enjoys recess. The first picture he drew at kindergarten was a rainbow, so I thought that was nice:)
The high school transition wasn't difficult for Mitchell, he took it in stride just like everything else. He seems SO OLD!!
Handsome devil too:) both of them
Ninjago sssSSSSiiiiinnnnnnjitsuuuuuu
These litte lego ninja spinjitsu dudes are a big deal around here lately. At the end of each day, there are approximately 400 TINY little lego dude parts laying out on the floor from being played with ALL day long.
End of an Era
After 4 years with our daycare lady, Mary, the boys had their very last day last Thursday. Cliche, I know, but where in the world did that time go?! I can't believe it is time to move on to the next step of the school years for the boys. Yes, Grant is still a year away, but he is going to spend this next year going to our neighbors daycare after preschool one day a week while I work, and mostly, spend his last year at home with mom. I am feeling the need to savor every moment of this last year.
