Jeff's 40th!!

My blog posts have gotten a little out of order. We really did celebrate Jeff's birthday on January 12th!  Gifts from us... and of course, chocolate cake:)

A couple weekends ago...

I actually got my camera out of its bag a couple weekends ago. The boys and I had a fun movie night, with a special fort, on Saturday night while Jeff and Mitch were at a hockey game and Sunday there was a fresh blanket of sticky snow:)

Joel the Builder

I just realized I have my watermark on these pictures. oh well, I am not going to redo them. This is Joel, has become quite the little builder, can always get the job done.

Captain Underpants

Captain underpants is what is call Grant. For some reason this boy loves to be in his briefs... if I were him I would be COLD, we typcially keep the house at about 68 degrees, but it doesn't seem to bother him, he just loves to be in this underwear:)

Joel turns SIX

Joel's birthday fell on Saturday this year, so we got to celebrate with Joel's friends (16 of them!, all the boys in his kindergarten class plus some neighborhood friends), and Sunday with all of the family. It was a fun-packed weekend.

Birthday morning (just before Joel's first day of basketball), opening gifts from us.

Jeff loaded about 80 songs on an mp3 player for Joel. He loved it.

I was so impressed with Joel throughout the weekend on how willing he was to share EVERYTHING with Grant without us asking him to. He showed some real maturity.I can't believe he is SIX!

uh oh, look what Uncle Mike wrapped up in a HUGE box!... the barbie doll is back!

So, the first or second present Joel opened contained a marshmellow santa (from Gma Jane I believe). Joel being the candy-lover that he is, decided to take a break in present opening (while we all waited patiently) and take his time eating the entire marshmellow santa. Only Joel.:)
